Lanark sits in the heart of Scotland and acts as a link between both east and west and south and north. Countless thousands pass through its streets every day. Additionally, due to its position near a major commuting artery, many commuters find themselves called to one of Lanark's courts if they are charged with an offence on the M74.
With the busy commuter traffic passing by this area consisting of stressed drivers on their way to and from work, it just takes a moment's lapse in focus and you could be facing a potential driving ban. It could happen to even the most experienced drivers.
Don’t worry, get in touch with us today for free initial advice.
Situated in the very centre of Lanark, the Lanark Sheriff Court and Justice of the Peace Court can be found on 24 Hope Street, just a couple of doors down from the Lanark public library. This majestic Category B listed building was refurbished in 2003. Originally the building only hosted the Sheriff Court, however in 2010 the Justice of the Peace Court moved in as well.
Glasgow High Court is situated in the Saltmarket, just by Glasgow Green. The building's architecture has Greek influences and was designed by architect William Stark, who also designed St George's Tron Church. Since its completion the building has been redone and had a new extension built behind it. The main entrance is now on Mart Street, through the extension of the building.
